TURP
1000s of cases. 1000s of men with relief.
Transurethral resection of the prostate is a scalpel -less procedure that uses the bodies natural channels to remove the prostate tissue. This procedure has been offered at Texoma Urology Center for decades, and refinement of surgical technique has allowed men to go catheter-free days after the procedure (some times the very next day!).
Gold Standard.
Experienced Hands.
The prostate tissue is resected with a tiny hot loop, and that tissue is sent to a pathologist for review (for prostate cancer and other conditions).
The capsule of the prostate is left intact, and the urethra (or pee channel) is left open for urine to pass freely.
The end result of this procedure is considered the GOLD STANDARD With some patients seeing results for over 20+ years.
